Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition - Jason Camberis builds World’s Largest Arcade Machine

Jason Camberis, a 44-year-old network engineer from Chicago has built the huge gaming ark that dwarfs fully-grown men.

It stands over 14 feet tall and is more than 3 feet deep. Camberis told Guinness World Records that he decided to make the machine to “make people smile” after seeing so much bad news around. He also wanted to replicate the feel of being in an arcade as a kid and having to reach up to grab the controls. Looking at the machine in action, he’s done just that — even down to the giant quarters needed to fire it up.

The arcade machine is 2.75 times bigger than a regular cabinet in all aspects with giant buttons, a 16-inch trackball, and retractable stairs that help you reach the controls.

It plays over 200 classic arcade games and is also compatible with PC and a range of consoles, according to Camberis.

The machine is another great example of how passionate gamers are about their hobby. Camberis has actually taken his love one step further — the self-confessed arcade fanatic builds and sells custom arcade machines and security systems for a living.
