Google will soon be able to back up data manually on Google Drive

https://technorect.blogspot.com/2018/11/google-will-soon-be-able-to-back-up.html

Google is launching a feature of manual backup for Google Drive soon, which will not even require Wi-Fi, which is generally recommended for data backup in older Android devices. 9 to 5 Google's Friday report was told that it was necessary for the smartphone to be connected to Wi-Fi network and stay in charging mode for the first backup. Due to this, if there was a failure in charging the handset or connecting to Wi-Fi, then data could not be backed up to Google Drive.

The report said, "Twitter user Alex Kruger first noticed this feature, he said that there is a new 'Backup Now' button in the backup settings of all types of Android devices. This feature is released on the Android Marshmallo OS in 2014. It has also been released for running devices. "

The first to issue a manual backup feature by Google was first estimated in August.

What is Quantum Computing?

https://technorect.blogspot.com/2018/10/what-is-quantum-computing.html

Quantum computing is the pack of unlimited possibilities, this will change world ...

The world of technology is expanding rapidly. Things that seem impossible until some time ago can be easily done with the help of technology today. At one time the development of computers revolutionized the technology sector. Now Artificial Intelligence has given a new dimension to the use of computers and robots in every field from medical to weapons.

In the world of conventional computer, another research is going on parallel to this progression, which is called Quantum Computing. This computing work on the quantum theory of physics is witnessing immense possibilities. This can be a great option for anyone in terms of research. According to experts, the capacity of a fully developed quantum computer will be more than the supercomputer.

What is quantum computing?

Quantum computing is considered to be the future of a computer. Traditional computers work on 'bits', whereas the quantum computer has the primary unit 'cubit'. In the traditional computer, every bit of value is 0 (zero) or 1 (forest). The computer understands every command in this zero and forest language and works accordingly.

Considering the potential of quantum computers, it is considered to be of significant importance in terms of security. This is the reason why the countries that have identified its possibilities are increasing spending on this. The Chinese government is preparing a laboratory for Quantum Research at the expense of $ 10 billion (about 73 thousand million) in Hefei.

China's e-commerce company Alibaba is working separately on this. In 2016, the European Union invested $ 1.2 billion (about 8,800 crore) in this sector. Giant American companies like Google, IBM, Intel and Microsoft are also exploring research in this direction. Government of India has also set up Quantum Information Science and Technology to promote research in this direction. Expected to start laboratory by 2020.

Compared to the area of quantum computing, the number of skilled people in this area is very low compared to that. According to an estimate, there are less than 1,000 people worldwide who are researching quantum computing. Many companies are unable to find qualified people for themselves.

Despite the immense potential of the future in this area, it is also a matter of concern that people are not attracted to it. Meanwhile, America's immigration policy has strictly increased the problems of companies there. Due to the strictness in the policy, skilled work force is making distance from the US. Professor Brian DeMarco of the University of Illinois said, "The country stands at the crossroads in terms of quantum computing. Balance is not becoming. If this is the situation, then we will be lagging behind in the competition. "

https://technorect.blogspot.com/2018/10/now-use-of-google-will-be-given-to.html

Tech Giant Google's new decision now requires Android smartphone makers to charge fees for Google's use of every device. It is being reported that in Europe, Google Play Store and other mobile apps will have to pay 40 dollars per device (about Rs 3,000). According to the report, "New fees can vary from country to device type and this fee will apply only on devices devised on or after February 1, 2019."

Agreements Offer

Along with this it is being said that, 'Google is offering separate advances to cover some or all of the licensing costs for companies. These include those who want to install Chrome and Google Search in their devices. That same year, Google had said that compatibility upgrades are being updated with mobile device makers. Companies in Europe can be asked to pay for Google Play and other Google Android Apps.

European commission

Google has taken this step to implement the anti-trust watchdog decision of the European Union that came against Android. What Is ISO 18000?

http://technorect.blogspot.com/2016/08/what-is-iso-18000.html

Smart posters are made by integration of NFC tags and movie posters to make it more interactive for the users. Program the NFC Tags to turn off Wi-Fi, turn off Bluetooth, activate silent profile and open the alarm app for the sleep mode. But using the apps like BT tag writer you can store the pairing information in NFC tags and then placed the tags near speakers. Program a NFC tags to open Google Maps, turned on the Bluetooth, connect your phone to your entertainment system while turning of the WiFi.

Program a NFC tags to make call to your loved ones and then keep the tag near the Photo Stand. Program your NFC tags with your message and then send it to your friend or hide some place private so that only you friend can read it. If have too many boxes in your house or factory and you don't want to open it to find what inside it. Then you can use NFC tags to store it index and place it on the box. For reading and writing to the NFC tags you can use the free app called Pack it up from Google play. Using app like Uber device unlock you can program NFC tags to open your smartphones lock. It's a very slick and smart system that does away with the need for both keys, codes and RFID tags.

I have program my NFC tags to toggle Wi-Fi so when I need to concentrate on some task, I place my phone over the NFC tag to turn of Wi-Fi and when I my finish completing my tasks, I placed it back again to come back to normal mode. In short you can use NFC tags to start your own application very easily without having any programming skills. RFID: This is closer to a traditional key system, in that you need a FOB or card in order to open the door.

Fortunately for you, I spent half a year researching the best RFID and keypad door locks for a business I worked for, so I've already done the legwork for you! The Kevo makes use of RFID technology and will open the lock at the wave of a card. This particular model is a deadbolt with a digital keypad attached to it, but it's also programmed to accept input from RFID tags, so you can use an appropriate FOB or card to gain access if you don't feel like punching in numbers. ISO 17364 is the standard for supply chain uses of RFID for returnable transport items.

Know The Difference Between UI And UX Design?

http://technorect.blogspot.com/2016/08/know-difference-between-ui-and-ux-design.html

UI and UX are among the most confused terms in today's digital world. I went through the dedication and collected a big set of data that clearly tells differences between UI/UX. All information are collected from the best  mobile application development companies in London Starting from the root:

UI refers User Interface Design

UX refers User Experience Design

UX Design:
  •     User Experience Design is the process of developing and increasing the quality of communication between a user and the product (app, website, etc). UX Design is more analytical and technical part.
  •     A key responsibility of User Experience Designers isworking on user research, testing, development, content, and prototyping for quality results.
  •     User Experience Design is the theory of a non-digital practice, but used and defined mainly by digital industries.
  •     UX designers are also called asUX Engineers, UX Strategists or UX Architects.
  •     User experience design (UXD or UED) is the process of improving customer satisfaction and branding loyaltyby improving the usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the customer and the product.

Below are given the steps involved in User Experience Design:

Strategy and Content:
  •     Competitor Analysis
  •     Customer Analysis
  •     Product Structure/Strategy
  •     Content Development

Wireframing and Prototyping:
  •     Wireframing
  •     Prototyping
  •     Testing/Iteration
  •     Development Planning

Execution and Analytics
  •     Coordination with UI Designer(s)
  •     Coordination with Developer(s)
  •     Tracking Goals and Integration
  •     Analysis and Iteration

So User Experience is a final product created with the efforts of marketers, designer, and project managers. The UX role is complex, challenging and multi-tasking.

UI Design:
  •     User Interface Design is responsible for the transferring the process of a brand's values and visual assets to a product's interface to enhance the user's experience.
  •     User Interface Design is a process of visually suggesting the user through a product's interface via interactive elements through all platforms. UI Design is quicker to what we refer to as graphic design.
  •     User Interface Design is a digital field, which includes responsibility for cooperation and work with developers.

User Interface Design is difficult to explain by its ranging variety of inconvenience. While User Experience is a collection of tasks targeting an optimized product for effective and enjoyable use. A skilled interface designer understands the importance of providing the user with a solution to a defined problem.

Let's see, they both are playing very important role, and while there are tons of examples of great products with one and not the other. But both roles are still confused, misinterpreted, and falsely sought after.
Let's have a quick look at the UI Designer's responsibilities:

Responsiveness and Interactivity:
  •     UI Prototyping
  •     Interactivity and Animation
  •     Adaptation to All Device Screen Sizes
  •     Implementation with Developer

Look and Feel:
  •     Design Research
  •     Customer Analysis
  •     User Guides/Storyline
  •     Branding and Graphic Development

Catch Pokemon in the Real World with "Pokemon Go" App

Nintendo is planning to bring popular video game series Pokemon into the real world, using augmented reality technology. With this game, Pokemon masters can catch, train and battle their monsters in real locations.

Pokemon Go is a free app that’ll be out next year and seems to work just like Ingress, as you’re directed towards locations in the real world to hunt for pokémon. The phone superimposes them onto your view of the local park, or wherever you are, and you can then try to catch them as you would in the games.

Junichi Masuda, director of the handheld Pokemon games at game studio Game Freak, is contributing to the project, which is being developed by Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, and former internal Google team Niantic.

The Pokemon franchise began in 1996 with the original Game Boy games, since selling 260 million copies worldwide, and has since expanded to include trading cards, films, toys and comics.

Apple's New App "Move to iOS" Will Make Android to iOS Transition a Bit Easier

Apple announced that it is releasing a new app in the Google Play store caleed “Move to iOS” to help Android owners to dump their phones in favor of the new iPhones. The app will transfer photos, messages and other data from an Android phone or tablet to an iOS device.

“You can recycle your Android phone for free at any Apple Store,” the app helpfully notes at one point during the transfer process.

During the company’s event, Apple executive Eddy Cue claimed that an increasing number of Android owners are switching to iPhone. Making that process even simpler is just “the neighborly thing to do,” Cue said.

Globally, the vast majority of smartphones run on Android.

WhatsApp Crosses 900 Million Monthly Active Users

The company’s co-founder and CEO Jan Koum announced that WhatsApp has recently reached the milestone of 900 million Monthly Active Users (MAUs), and it still has no plan for how to monetize such a huge user base. When Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about his plans for WhatsApp back in February 2014, he said money was not the focus, but growth.

last year, the messaging app has been on a streak when it comes to its monthly active users (MAUs).

And it’s not the only achievement that WhatsApp can boast with. In a recent report by App Annie, the messaging service ranked in the top 10 most downloaded iOS apps, right after Facebook’s main app, Facebook Messenger and Facebook-owned Instagram.

While Facebook’s plans with WhatsApp are to keep it simply a messaging service, that’s not the case for Facebook Messenger. Ever since it became a standalone app late 2011, the app also became a central focus of development for the tech company.

In 2014, Facebook completely removed the option of chatting from the main app and forced its mobile users to download the separate app. This year, the process of growing Messenger into its own platform has continued, with more and more options and features rolled out with each update.

Amazon Plans to release a $50 Tablet in time for the holiday season - Wall Street Journal report

Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon planning to release a $50 Tablet in time for the holiday season.

The 6-inch screen tablet comes with a mono speaker and is priced much lower than Amazon's Fire tablet, the cheapest variant of which is sold at $99.

Amazon also plans to release 8-inch and 10-inch screen tablets, the report said. While other Amazon Fire tablets show advertisements as screen savers, it was not clear if the new 6-inch tablet's cost included ads, according to the report.

The move would potentially attract buyers looking for a simple—and effectively disposable—device for straightforward tasks like streaming video at home and shopping on Amazon.com. But such inexpensive tablets typically come with compromises like inferior screen quality, durability or battery life in comparison to more expensive tablets like Amazon’s larger Fire tablets and industry-leading devices like Apple Inc.’s iPad. For instance, the $50 device will have a mono speaker, rather than stereo, one of the people said.

“Will people tolerate a potentially inferior experience just because a tablet is $50?” said Frank Gillett, a Forrester Research analyst. “Amazon has to be very careful about what they’re giving up to get to that low price point.”

Google's New OS, the Android Marshmallow 6.0 Comes with Exciting Features

The Android M 6.0 update for Google's mobile operating system, was unveiled at the 2015 I/O Conference.

The notable features of the Marshmallow 6.0 are listed below:

1. Google Translation

Users no longer have to go to the Translate app to look up a following word, as holding finger on a certain word now presents the option of interpreting it via Google Translate. For instance, if you are reading something, and you come across a foreign word that you cannot comprehend, all you need to do is long-press that particular word and the device would present you with the option of translating it.

2. Chrome Custom Tabs

In Google's current OS, the Android Lollipop, clicking on a link within an application opens the Chrome browser. This is not the case for the Android M, which will make Chrome function along with the app. So if you click a link within an app, it will not launch Chrome separately but will instead display a Web view within the app.

3. App Permissions

In the new OS, users have the ability to deny permission to apps trying to obtain personal information. However, it should be noted that if you do not grant permission, some of the certain parts of the app might not work normally. Users can also allow access during the app's installation process and then disable it later, the news outlet noted.

4. Battery Manager

If your phone run out of battery then Doze app will automatically cut off some of the device's processes minimizing battery consumption. The handset will snap out of its Doze state once a priority notification or alarm goes off.

5. Emergency Service

Android M also has a newly enabled feature that shows an overview of Google Maps whenever users call 911 or the emergency number of their residence. In this feature, the emergency service and Google Maps work by displaying "the emergency service center they're connected with during a call," with the current location and information of the caller also shown on the map "so they can more easily give those specific details to the emergency dispatch person on the line with them," Android Headlines wrote. This way, help can be dispatched quicker to those in dire need of it.

6. Android Pay

With Android Pay, users can now incorporate their credit and debit cards with their handsets to create a virtual account number, put it near a contactless terminal, and pay for their purchase.

Nextbit Unveils “Cloud-first” Smartphone - Robin

Nextbit, a mobile developer that was created by former Google, Apple, Amazon, and HTC employees, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for its new Android smartphone, Robin.

It offers 32GB of internal storage alongwith 100GB of online storage absolutely free. If the Robin determines that you may not need something on your phone because you don’t use it often, it will automatically upload the content to the cloud. The infinite storage “smarter” smartphone’s Kickstarter campaign is already well past its funding goal of $500,000 with 28 days left to go.

The idea behind the Nextbit Robin is that rather than you having to decide what to keep in the cloud, the software does it for you in a seamless and autonomous way.

Speaking of hardware, the Robin is a uniquely designed mid-range Android phone. While that’s nothing new, what sets Robin apart is that it learns from you, adapts to you, and does the clean up for you. Tapping on a removed app re-downloads and installs the app from Nextbit’s cloud, merges it with the personal data stored on the phone, and launches.

As the Robin offloads data and apps not regularly accessed by users into the cloud, they remain accessible but do not take up storage space needed by more regularly accessed apps and files. Nextbit Robin will hit general retail in Q1 2016, for $399 (£260). “And when you want any of it, you’ll get it back just it was before”. Nextbit insists its solution is superior, however, as it seamlessly backs things up whenever ideal conditions are met (Wi-Fi connection, phone is plugged in) and users don’t have to remember to open an app to make sure their photos are backed up.

The Robin is Nextbit’s first phone, but the developers have been involved in the production of phones including the HTC One M7 and M8, along with earlier phones including the HTC Evo and G1.

Everyone’s had their phone run out of storage before and it’s frustrating as hell trying to figure out what to delete. Robin’s reliance on cloud-based storage could provide an answer to consumers who are frustrated by the lack of microSD slots on modern devices, or those who constantly run out of space.

Nextbit’s CEO Tom Moss says that the company is trying to do something different to tackle what he calls “phone fatigue”. Nextbit has built Robin on this cloud USP and thus it is very unlikely that the company would try to make some extra bucks by offering more space. The back of the phone is home to a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and RAW support as as well as four LEDs that light up when you’re connected to the cloud.

The team from Nextbit also said that this tech could be used for other purposes, such as optimizing your photos for you or maintaining the out-of-the-box speed you get on a new phone, but reps refrained from making any concrete promises.

Russian New Data Law Raises Questions About Privacy

Russian New Data Law Raises Questions About Privacy

Russian's new personal data law has raised many questions about privacy of the internet users.

The new law was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in December 2014 and outlined that companies supplying Internet services in Russia, or targeting Russian users, should store personal data in Russia. Those who didn’t should have transferred it onto Russian territory by Sept. 1, 2015.

Critics of the new law speculated that its sole purpose was to extend the government’s control over society by closely monitoring popular social networks, but the lawmakers insisted their only intention was to protect Russian citizens.

While some companies — such as Samsung, Booking.com, PayPal, eBay, Lenovo and AliExpress — expressed readiness to comply with the new rules, U.S. Internet giants Facebook and Google aren’t in a rush to do so.

The new law will never be implemented, Russian Internet personality Anton Nosik claimed in his blog on Monday, because it doesn’t specify how government agencies will determine which data belongs to Russian citizens and which doesn’t.
